The 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry level worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards in a general industry setting.
STA Safe recommends Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be mailed an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry DOL Wallet Card within 1-2 weeks.
OSHA 30-Hour Outreach training benefits supervisors and workers with safety roles, including those in construction, manufacturing, factory operations, health care and more. STA Safes OSHA 30 courses promote safe and healthful work environments by training workers to identify, predict and avoid hazards in the workplace.
Our OSHA 30-Hour General course is appropriate for workers who perform new construction, alterations or repairs. If you are a supervisor in any industry other than construction, agriculture or maritime, OSHA considers you a general industry worker and recommends the OSHA 30-Hour General Industry course.
OSHA 10-hour training is appropriate for entry-level workers who do not have specific safety responsibilities for their role.
Forklift training is essential for individuals who operate forklifts or may be required to supervise or work in proximity to forklift operations. This includes warehouse workers, logistics personnel, and anyone involved in material handling.
Overall, forklift training plays a crucial role in promoting workplace safety, preventing accidents, and ensuring efficient and responsible forklift operations.
Successful completion of forklift training typically results in certification. The certification may be valid for a specific period, after which operators may need to undergo refresher training. Employers may also keep records of certifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
OSHA has not adopted the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E Code (Electrical Safety in the Workplace). BUT-you are required to have identified the electrical hazards, qualified your employees to the exposing hazards, and equip them with the skills, knowledge, tools, and electrical PPE to protect them.
The 70E code gives employers a well-defined method to accomplish these complex tasks. Sometimes referred to the Arc Flash Standard, both the OSHA Electrical Standards and NFPA 70E code are more comprehensive than just addressing the incident energy for arc flash.
Don’t forget this frequently cited Standard “Listed or Labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing and label”. 70E gives the employer the necessary information to achieve a proper equipment maintenance program protecting your people, equipment, facilities, and your investments.
